the majority of people have been in the education system and so that seems to give everyone the license to judge and assume they know what it takes to be a teacher in the present climate. Of course they dont and this compounds the feeling of not being respected and undervalued, no other profession is challenged, questioned or scrutinised like teaching by parents and general public who are all educational experts.
